Here we have a long sleeve t-shirt from Adidas’s line of affordable gym clothing. Made from mostly polyester and a bit of elastane, the material feels a bit rough on the skin, but it has some stretch to it.
Adidas uses Polygiene for odor control, which works well. We could wear the shirt for a 1-hour run, hang it up to dry without washing, and it would smell fine the next day. With regular wear patterns, we could wear it 3-4 days in a row. While it has a noticeable “worn” smell after one or two days, it doesn’t get uncomfortably bad unless you’re sweating a huge amount.
Adidas applied the logo via heat press and it’s already coming off on both of our shirts after a single time in the tumble dryer. The laundry care label allows drying with low heat, so that is disappointing.
At $30, the FreeLift Prime t-shirt from Adidas is competitively priced for what it delivers, but we see plenty of room for improvement here.
